William D. Thompson, 75 of Adolphus, KY passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born in Johnson County, IN on January 9, 1943 to the late Maxie Loren Thompson and Oma Rudell Taylor. He married Wilma Taylor Thompson who survives on March 14, 1967 in Johnson County, IN. He retired from Golden Castings where he was the maintenance manager. He was a member of Taylorsville Baptist Church in Taylorsville, IN. He also was a member of Graham Lodge in Scottsville, KY. In addition to his wife he is survived by; One son, William Kelly Thompson and wife Tammy of Adolphus, KY; One daughter, Michele Jolene Thompson of Adolphus, KY; Two brothers; Jason Thompson and wife Sherry of Franklin, IN; Jerry Thompson and wife Peggy of Nineveh, IN; One sister, Carrie - Lee Koons of Whiteland, IN. Three grandchildren; Wendy Coleman and husband Brian of Adolphus, KY; William Randy Thompson of Adolphus, KY; Wyatt David Thompson of Adolphus, KY; Four great-grandchildren Hailey and Owen Coleman of Adolphus, KY and Lilly and Callie Thompson of Scottsville, KY also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Arnold and Tommy Thompson and one sister Dottie Harrison. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Oak Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery in Scottsville, KY. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018, and after 7:30 AM Thursday, August 23, 2018 until time of funeral service at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home. Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the Harwood & Strode Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Oak Grove General Baptist Church Cemetery and can be made at the funeral home.
