Sandra Williams

Sandra “Sandy” Napier Williams, age 72, of Scottsville, KY passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Med Center Health in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born on August 29, 1949, in Macon County, TN to the late Ralph Joel Napier and Mildred Bohanon Napier. She married Larry Williams, who survives, on August 1, 1970, in Lafayette, TN. Sandy was a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received her Bachelors, Masters and Rank I. She worked in the Allen County School system in different roles for 36 years before retiring in the guidance office at Allen County-Scottsville High School. She was the first female ACS head girls’ basketball coach and was the ACS drill team coach. Sandy was a member of the Buck Creek homemakers and a member of White Oak Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband, Larry Williams, of Scottsville, KY, she is survived by three sons; Jonathan Williams and wife, Billie Ruth, of Scottsville, KY; Daniel Williams and wife, Rachael, of Travis AFB, CA and Nathaniel Williams and wife, Mandy, of Scottsville, KY.

Two brothers; Randy Napier and wife, Brenda, of Lafayette, TN and Rocky Napier and wife, LeAnn, of Murray, KY. Six grandchildren; Todd, Hadley, Raylan, Annalise, Logan and Audrey also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021, and after 7:30AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021, until funeral service time.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gideons or American Cancer Society and can be made at the funeral home.
