Ronald Mayes

Ronald "Ronnie" Dale Mayes, age 79 of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, November 07, 2018 at the Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green, KY. He was born December 16, 1938 in Louisville, KY to the late Robert B. Mayes and Dorothy Jeanne Dipple Mayes. He married Barbara Ann Douglas Mayes in Scottsville, KY on August 21, 1959. He was retired from UPS where he worked in logistics as a route driver in the Scottsville area. He served in the United States Army National Guard, was a member of White Plains Baptist Church, and the Graham Lodge #208 He is survived by one daughter Rhonda Bachschmidt and husband Michael of Scottsville, KY; two sisters, Sherry Minor and husband Rodger of Bethpage, TN; Linda Morris and husband Phillip of Westmoreland, TN; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville, KY with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM-8:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 and after 7:30 AM until time of funeral service Saturday, November 10, 2018 and at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville, KY. Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of Southern KY or St. Jude Children's Hospital and can be made at the funeral home.
