Patty Jenell Cornwell, age 80, of Scottsville KY, formerly of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.
She was born on May 18, 1941, in Allen County, KY to the late Ralph Cornwell and Violet Tabor Cornwell. She was a graduate of Allen County High School and Belmont University. She was a retired certified registered nurse anesthetist and worked for many years with the Anesthesia Medical Group in Nashville, TN. Patty was a member of the National and the practice consultant for the Tennessee Anesthesia Organization. She was also a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She was a member of Madison General Baptist Church and attended Scottsville First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister Sue Cornwell Jackson of Scottsville, KY; Two Nieces Robbie Jill Davis and husband Ricky of Scottsville, KY; Shannon Hoffmann and husband Glenn of Simpsonville, SC; Two Nephews John Jackson and wife Tiffany of Scottsville, KY and Jason Cornwell and wife Abbye of Simpsonville, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Phillip Cornwell and Camilus Cornwell.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 2:00PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021, after 10:00AM until time of the funeral service at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.
As much as Patty meant to her family, she meant equally as much to the lives of her peers, colleagues, and co-workers in the nurse anesthesia profession.
