Montie Darnel Brown

Mr. Montie Darnel Brown, 67, died on July 19, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.

Mr. Brown was a native of Warren County, KY and the son of the late Calvin & Wilhelmina (Starks) Brown. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was a farmer who loved dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Ernie Starks; one sister, Delorse Stevenson; aunts, Francis Edmonds, Evalina Edmonds and Beatrice Martin.

Survivors include three brothers, Kevin D. Brown of Louisville, KY, Calvin Brown, Jr., of Bowling Green, KY and George Brown of Scottsville, KY; five sisters, Kathy Bailey (Michael) of Olive Branch, MS, Shirley Bunton of Scottsville, Lana K. Preston of Scottsville, KY, Marla Downey of Franklin, KY and Alia Brown of Scottsville, KY; his guardian and niece, Kyeesha Preston; nieces and nephews, Deanna, Caleb, Kobe, Lauren Kristen, Gavin, Mallory, Chelsey, Robert, Charles, Houston, Adrian, Lamont, Jarrin, Sydney, Marlesha and Alaysja along with a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral Service is 1:00 pm on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.

Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022 also at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville.
