Linda Brown Velasquez, 76, of Scottsville, KY, passed away peacefully with family by her bedside Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green, KY.
On August 18, 1945, she was born to the late Delva Brown and Dorothy Emery Brown. She married Daniel Velasquez, who preceded her in death on October 23, 1976, in Corydon, IN. She retired from the United States Civil Service, working in finance. She was of the Christian faith and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by four Daughters; Lori Scheuneman, and husband Gary, of Bartow, FL; Katie Niles, and husband Thomas, of Scottsville, KY; Robin Corley, of Lakeland, FL, Barbara Velasquez, of Brandenburg, KY; one brother; Joe Mack Brown of Milton, FL; three sisters; Delma Thomas, of Willisburg, KY; Emma Arnold, of Brandenburg, KY; Nancy Andrake, of Bardstown, KY; Fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Daniel Velasquez Jr, one daughter Angela Michelle Smith and one brother Bill Brown.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with burial in the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 11, 2022, from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM and after 8:00 AM until funeral service time Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home.
