Joann Welch

Joann Willoughby Welch, age 83, of Scottsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born in Allen County, KY, on August 6, 1938, to the late Louie Willoughby and Conie Tabor Willoughby. She married Blon Welch on December 22, 1957, in Scottsville, KY. Joann was a homemaker. She was also a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Blon Welch of Scottsville, KY, she is survived by one son, David Welch and wife, Patrice of Scottsville, KY; one daughter, Debbie Foster and husband, Eddie of Scottsville, KY; two brothers, Carrol Willoughby and wife Norma Jean, of Scottsville, KY; Everett Willoughby and wife, Faye of Scottsville, KY; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Jesse Edward Foster; one sister, Katherine Cheek; three brothers, Odean, Dolan, and Bill Willoughby.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2022, at Harwood & Strode Funeral Home, with a burial to follow in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM  Thursday, June 30, 2022, and after 7:30 AM Friday, July 1, 2022, until funeral service time.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses. Donations can be made at the funeral home.
