Avanelle M. Reeves, age 91, died Thursday, June 10, 2021, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born the youngest of ten children in Conway, Arkansas on May 3, 1930. Avanelle graduated from Plum Bayou High School in 1948. She married Henry P. Reeves on April 6, 1957, and they have loved and cherished each other ever since. They enjoyed traveling, visiting family, and spending time with their grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Warren, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry P Reeves. Her parents, P.A. and Ella Hall Palmer. Her brothers, Argus, Vernon, Dean, John Quinton, Cyrel, and Billy Palmer. Her sisters, Mildred Fincher, Mignon Wallace, and Octavia Palmer. Avanelle was also preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Ryan Henry Reeves.
She is survived by her son, David and his wife, Cathy of Bowling Green, Kentucky, her granddaughter, Mari Catherine Hamm and her husband, Christopher, of Cincinnati, Ohio and her grandson, Benjamin Reeves of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Honorary Pallbearers include Benjamin Reeves, Christopher Hamm, Tim Reaves, Sheena Stuard, and Dr. Beth Bryant.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Frist United Methodist Church of Warren, Arkansas.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:00PM at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
